Insaf Shaban is associate professor currently works as a Vice Dean for Postgraduate studies & Research as well as lecturer in College of Nursing at Taibah University, Saudi Arabia. Insaf’s background is in Nursing. She has worked as a lecturer and an academic maternal health researcher at Al albayt University in Al Mafraq, Jordan. She has nursing degree (1991), a post-graduation in Midwifery (1998), a MSc in General Nursing Education (1999) from Jordan University, and Doctor of Midwifery (DMid) from University of Technology, Sydney-Australia. She has a taught Maternal Health to nursing students for a number of years in Jordan as well as Saudi Arabia. Her research focuses on Normalize Childbirth, postpartum home visits, with a particular interest in midwifery education. She has carried out research on pregnancy and childbirth, and the use of evidence in midwifery practice. She has currently taking a leave from Al al-Bayt University -Jordan
